Frozen Candy Bars
The truth is, I don’t ever buy candy bars. The only time I do is when my kids beg me to buy candy bars for them or there’s a special play date. Then we zip into a convenience store. For me personally, I have a chocolate company and we are always making fresh hand made chocolate. Why would I eat a store bought candy bar? A frozen candy, however, takes on an entirely different product identity.
Have you ever had a frozen Snickers? Milky Way? Three Musketeers? See’s Candy Bordeaux truffle? Take Snickers for example. Unwrap a frozen Snickers and take a bite. You get an immediate crunch once you crack through the outside chocolate. Then your teeth sink into caramel & nougat. The caramel is chewier than a non-frozen candy bar. I love caramel so a few extra seconds of chewing goes a long way in my book. Then there’s the extra snap of the peanuts. I am not inclined to buy a candy bar off the shelf. But finding a frozen one in the freezer is a delight!
If you can’t commit to the freezer, consider the fridge…a halfway starting point. And you’re less likely to break a tooth. But hey, that’s what I’ve got a dentist for!
